museum experience
-
We encourage guests to limit play sessions to 2 hours.
-
We have worked hard to improve your museum experience. Many exhibits may look different!
-
The Gift Shop is open and we are excited to share a range of new vendor products with our guests!
-
Toys for each exhibit are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before every play session. We have clearly marked bins for toys or manipulatives that may have been placed in the mouth, sneezed or coughed on, etc. Exhibits may temporarily close during your play session for cleaning.
-
The entire museum is deep cleaned each evening by a contracted cleaning company.
-
Elevators are to be used by one (1) group at a time.
-
Lockers are currently unavailable. Please keep your personal belongings, including strollers, with you at all times.
guest responsibilities
-
To help protect our youngest guests, it is currently museum policy that all guests ages two and over are strongly recommended to wear a mask or face covering. Additional masks are available at the front desk.
-
Wash your hands frequently and utilize hand sanitizer upon entering and exiting the museum.
-
If you or a family member are sick and/or have symptoms related to the COVID-19 virus, like fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, muscle aches, sore throat or new loss of sense of smell/taste, please stay home. If you or a member of your household have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus in the last 14 days, or if there is someone in your household who is waiting on the results of a COVID-19 test, please stay home. If you don't feel well for any reason, please stay home. All tickets are non-refundable, but we are happy to reschedule your tickets if needed.

museums for all
Museums for All is a national initiative to encourage museum attendance
among low-income and underserved families. EBT/WIC cardholders qualify
for a reduced GRCM admission rate of $1.75 per person for up to twelve people.
This discount is available during all normal operation hours, all you need to
do is show your EBT/WIC card when purchasing admission.

sensory support
Need a little extra sensory support? We want to ensure that everyone can enjoy playing at the museum! If you find that your child needs some extra support, we have sensory tool kits available to check out at the front desk. Kits include noise reduction headphones, a weighted vest and suspenders, emotion recognition flashcards,
a Therapy Tangle, a Squigglet bracelet, a copy of the GRCM social story, and a set of three stress balls. The vest is available in sizes
XS-M, which can fit children 2-12.

museum manners
Help us ensure that all of our guests have fun! You can do your part by:
-
using inside voices
-
using walking feet
-
staying together - grown-ups and children need to stay together at all times; especially when riding the elevator and in our gift shop
-
staying in the age appropriate areas of our museum; our Wee Discovery Zone is for our littlest friends (3 and under)
*please note that if groups are not able to follow the museum manners, they may be asked to leave early.

Adults are not permitted to enter the Museum without children. Adults wishing to visit the Museum can request a brief tour based on staff availability. Business visitors must check in with the front desk staff.
