Renewing a membership? Don’t worry about losing time! Renewals add 12 months to the existing expiration date.
No need to wait - GRCM memberships activate right away and are valid for 12 months from the purchase date (or from the current expiration date for renewals). Gift recipients can visit the museum immediately by showing an ID until their digital membership card arrives via email (within 1-3 business days, unless specified).

Give the Gift of Play with a GRCM Membership!
A GRCM membership starts right away and lasts for 12 months from the purchase date (or from the current membership’s expiration if renewing). It’s the perfect gift for any playful person!
All memberships include digital membership cards! Recipients can visit the museum using an ID until their digital card arrives in their email (usually 1–3 business days). Renewing a membership automatically adds 12 months to the current expiration—no lost time!

The Grand Rapids Children's Museum is a proud member of The Association of Children's Museums (ACM) Reciprocal Network. The ACM Reciprocal Network is a network of ACM member museums that offer discounted admission based on their membership level. Currently, over 200 museums participate in the network and provide 50% off general admission for up to six (6) family members from the same household, including the cardholder, who must be present.

Note: The list of museums participating in the network may change, so please call the museum you plan to visit ahead of time to verify their participation in the ACM Reciprocal Network. Families must present a valid Membership Card with ACM Reciprocal Network benefits (indicated by the program logo) to receive discounted admission at museums participating in the ACM Reciprocal Network.

We offer discounted memberships that are available to families that qualify for EBT and/or WIC. These memberships are available for a minimum of $20, but we ask that families give as much as they are able. Families able to pay a little more will allow us to continue our mission of providing access to play for all children in our community.
These memberships are available online, in-person, by phone, or by mail. Membership benefits will apply to the qualifying family and caregivers. Families may continue to renew at this level as long as they continue to qualify under these programs. We do not require documentation to register as a member.

service organization memberships
Are you a licensed childcare provider or local non-profit service organization that brings your clients to GRCM on a regular basis? We are proud to partner with our local community therapeutic and educational organizations that serve young people by offering a membership option specifically for the needs of those organizations and their clients.
Organizational memberships cost $500 for one year

Admission for up to eight people at one time - inclusive of children and adults - for 12 months; employees of the organization must show identification upon entrance.
play passes
250 one-time-use family-play passes to be used at the agency's discretion, provided in a tear-off booklet

Printed admission passes can be issued to your organization for you to give your clients for a discounted fee of $6 per pass. These passes are valid for the length of the annual membership. If you find that you would like additional passes during the term of your membership, ordering more is an option.

NEW! digital membership cards
Members receive the benefit of digital membership cards. Digital cards are emailed to the address listed for the primary named member adult. Members can also pick up physical cards at the front desk for no additional charge.

Association of Children’s Museums. This reciprocal membership gives you 50% off general admission for up to six people to over 200 participating children’s museums across the U.S.
